About
Blue Atlas Robotics makes autonomous underwater robots that capture clear visual data in underwater environments. Blue Atlas Robotics is a small but growing company with six team members, based in Odense, Denmark. The autonomous nature of Blue Atlas Robotics’ robots makes them simple to operate without the need for experienced pilots. The robots use computer vision to identify and lock on to an underwater structure such as a quay wall or a vessel hull. The whole structure is then captured at a consistent distance and in an intelligent pattern. Blue Atlas Robotics’ underwater footage is so steady and clear that it can be used to build 3D photogrammetric models of underwater structures in true-to-life colours and textures, similar to those produced using air-borne drones.
