Łukasiewicz - PIAP is a part of Łukasiewicz Research Network – 3rd biggest research network in Europe, that has >8000 employees in Poland. Our main activity topics include: Mobile robotics, Cyber-physical systems development, Industrial automation, Measurement devices, Rapid prototyping centre. We actively promote new technologies to be implemented by SME and industry as part of our research exploitation efforts.
Łukasiewicz - PIAP is main Polish and one of the biggest European producers of IEDD/EOD/CBRN mobile robots and robotic accessories. For more than 25 years we are active in research collaboration within European Union (programmes like: FPs, H2020, DIHs, EDF), ESA, EDA and NATO.
We stand out in the market due to:
The form of PIAP HUB
Łukasiewicz - PIAP was established in 1965 as a state institute with the primary task of developing and implementing new technologies, automa-tics systems, production equipment and specialised control and measurement apparatus in various branches of industry. Almost 60 years of close cooperation with industry have resulted in a number of new developments and significant implementations. As part of the Łukasiewicz network, ŁPIAP specialises in Digital Transformation and Intelligent Mobility. Under the brand PIAP HUB, (No. 1408 in the S3 portal) ŁPIAP has been providing services to domestic and foreign companies since 2017. During this time it participated in 4 H2020 consortia creating DIH networks, developing service standards, and implementing support programmes. ŁPIAP has also participated in the activities of other DIH networks, is one of the founders of the European DIH network in the area of artificial intelligence, and participated in a mentoring programme for DIH managers organised on behalf of the European Commission by PWC and Oxentia. In 2020, the Institute became the EIT Manu-facturing HUB in Poland.
The original partnership of PIAP HUB has grown and merged with other Mazovian DIHs, major research and industry players of Mazovia region to establish DIH Mazovia, aiming to become an EDIH.
