Autonomous system for assessment and prediction of infrastructure integrity PostedDecember 20, 2022 https://larics.fer.hr/larics/scientific_projects/asap The aim of the ASAP project is to develop a system for autonomous inspection and prediction of the integrity of transport infrastructure, as part of intelligent transport systems and logistics for road and rail infrastructure maintenance, monitoring and management. It is necessary to develop three aspects of the ASAP system:(1) Protocol for the fast and efficient assessment of the condition of materials and structures and the prediction of useful lifespan and the assessment of the load-bearing capacity of structures;(2) A conceptual prototype of an autonomous robotic material and construction test system based on a robot and an unmanned aerial vehicle;(3) Collection of test data and model connectivity and storage in a format accessible to transport infrastructure managers, with the concept of an alarm system for national safety authorities, if during a particular time period there is no response from the transport infrastructure manager which endangers the safety of road users. Heterogeneous autonomous robotic system in viticulture and mariculture PostedDecember 20, 2022 http://hektor.fer.hr/en/homepage/ The main objective of the HEKTOR project is to provide a systematic solution for the coordination and cooperation of smart heterogeneous robots/vehicles (marine, land, and air) capable of autonomously collaborating and distributing tasks in open unstructured space/waters.The purpose of the project in the part of viticulture is to incorporate "robotic systems" in the wine-growing technology, especially on extremely steep, demanding terrains where only manual labor has been applied so far.The purpose of the project in the mariculture discipline is to include in the process of fish cage farming "robotic systems" for the automated monitoring of fish cages. The proposed HEKTOR robotic system will enable these activities to reduce the need for divers, thus increasing the safety of the production process and directly protecting the health of workers. Energy aware BIM cloud platform in a cost-effective building renovation context PostedDecember 20, 2022 https://encorebim.eu/ The main objective of ENCORE is to increase the share of renovated stock in Europe and worldwide by providing effective and affordable BIM tools that cover the whole renovation life-cycle (from data collection to project execution, and commissioning/delivery). ENCORE will also provide mechanisms for the dwellers or owners to validate the project, either on-site with Augmented/Mixed Reality solutions, or on-line. Once the project is validated, ENCORE will automatically generate the work planning for the construction works, and once finalized, ENCORE will provide continuous monitoring of the energy consumption to ensure the non-degradation of the renovation works.LARICS participated in ENCORE field experiments in Cáceres, Spain. The data acquisition service was extensively tested in diverse scenarios including simultaneous data acquisition using multiple autonomous UAVs. Posted byInnovation Centre Nikola Tesla Read More
